1 Phytosanitary Certificate SPS Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) A person who wishes to obtain a sanitary or phytosanitary certificate or a certificate of origin in respect of an article in order to comply with the biosecurity certification requirements of the receiving country must apply to the Authority in writing; (b) pay the prescribed fee, if any; (c) submit the article for inspection or other biosecurity measures as required by the receiving country. 2 Biosecurity Approved Premises (BAP) Certification Inspection Requirement Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) Biosecurity Authority Fiji approve the premises as premises where the inspection, testing and treatment of regulated articles can take place; and (b) approve specified action being taken under this Promulgation in relation to all regulated articles, or specified articles, while they are in the approved premises. 3 Import Permit for Live Animal or Animal Products Permit Requirement Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) The importation of animals and animal products is strictly regulated by the Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF), which advises you to declare any animals or animal products, including processed products, in your possession upon arrival in Fiji or imported as unaccompanied cargo, including commercial, through sea, or air freight, including postal mails. 4 Import Permit Requirements for Plant and Plant Products Permit Requirement Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) All plant material must be declared upon arrival into Fiji. The brought or imported items may need a Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) import permit or treatment, and other products may be prohibited. Depending on the level of biosecurity risk plant and plant products can be imported with or without a BAF import permit. Importation of all plant and plant products need to meet certain biosecurity requirements to prevent the introduction of pests and diseases to Fiji. 5 Veterinary Health Certificate to Export Live Animals or Animal Products Permit Requirement Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) Animal product is any article or substance derived from an animal, whether or not in combination with any other article or substance, and includes: - meat, fat, milk, whey, cream, butter, cheese, eggs, and other foodstuffs derived from an animal; - the dung, urine, faeces, saliva, bone, or blood of an animal, or any article or substance derived from the dung, urine, faeces, saliva, bone, or blood of an animal; - the secretions of any animal; and - any product or biological preparation derived from any animal tissue or animal secretion.
