Step-5: Register for a Tax Identification Number
5.1 Visit the Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) TPOS portal to register for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN).
5.2 After submitting your application, you will receive two separate emails containing your login credentials. One email will include your User ID, and the other will provide a temporary password, which you will use for your first-time login to TPOS.
5.3 Upon logging in for the first time with the temporary password, you will be prompted to change it. You will not be able to proceed without updating your password.
5.4 Once your password is successfully changed, new taxpayers must complete the TIN application to access other services available on the portal.
5.5 Existing taxpayers must request a One-Time Login Code (OTLC) from FRCS by emailing info@frcs.org.fj before proceeding with the registration process
Note: Businesses with a turnover above $100,000 must register for value-added tax (VAT), and their business premises need to be inspected by FRCS. This can happen simultaneously with the other inspections required.
