Step 3: Submit the Application

Actions

3.1 Submit the duly completed application in writing to the Director of Fisheries

3.2 The Ministry of Fisheries will review the application submitted

3.3 If any documents are missing or incomplete, you will be notified and requested to submit the necessary documentation.

3.4 If not, refer the application to the director of fisheries for approval of one-off or release of shipment.

Required Documents

  1. Export and import application (Application form (Schedule 6G)

For each consignment, the export permit application should include the following information:

  1. Consignment size;
  2. Market designation/destination;
  3. Company TIN number;
  4. Date of export;
  5. HACCP Certificate;
  6. Satisfy the importing countries' requirements

Tuna Export to International Markets such as the US, Japan, Australia, Canada, EU markets, NZ, China, Taiwan, and Thailand, the exporter should adoptthe  following food safety systems

  1. HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) System
  2. Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  3. Good Manufacturing Practices Plan (GMPP)
  4. Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)

Other fisheries commodities

  1. Company details;
  2. Product details (species, farmed or wild-caught for aquaculture species, final product, and storage form);
  3. Consignment size;
  4. Frequency of export;
  5. Details of harvest areas and suppliers.
  6. Market designation/destination;
  7. Contract agreements between the exporter and the processor and /or supplier, etc.
  8. If a new applicant/business venture, a Business Plan is required.
